We will support any candidate with the relevant qualifications through QTS withina 12-18 month period. Are you a PE graduate with QTS status and require a helping hand to make your first step towards securing a full time PE teaching position? We are looking to recruit someone who in year one can divide their school time between teaching aspects of PE/PSHE, undertaking cover and supporting the extra-curricular delivery of PE.

In year two, teaching commitments in PE will increase towards at least0.4. This is a real opportunity to not only join a well-established PE department but also make significant contributions to teaching and learning across several departmental areas.

We are looking for committed and enthusiastic colleagues to start as soon as possible. The successful candidate will supervise whole classes during short term absence of teachers, under the direction of the Deputy Headteacher. For a suitably experienced candidate there will also be opportunities to support the learning of students within PE and lead extra-curricular activities within the PE department, making your first steps towards teaching PE full time.

As a Cover Supervisor you will work during school hours and in addition to supervising the class you will oversee the completion of work, manage the behaviour of students and follow the Academy’s policies and procedures.

Applicants should be computer literate and possess GCSE passes (grade C or above) in English and Mathematics or equivalent. The successful candidate should be willing to undertake further professional development as appropriate.
