We insist all students should stay on the academy premises during lunchtime and have either a:-
- Academy lunch
- Packed lunch eaten at the academy
Students buy their lunches each day by crediting their lunchtime swipe card in the machines provided. Students can select from a substantial menu and may spend as little or as much as they wish. The Griffin provides a wide choice of hot and cold foods.
In academy a balanced meal is available for £1.90 and there are several hot and cold options for students.
No food is allowed to be taken out of the Griffin. Packed lunches may also be eaten in the dining hall. Students who eat a meal at college are looked after by the Support Assistants at lunchtimes and must remain on the college premises.
Various clubs are held at lunchtimes. Students who are not taking part in lunchtime activities stay in the academy grounds. On wet and cold days, supervisory staff allocate students to various areas of the building.
