SNOW: (8/1/2025) Unfortunately due to overnight freezing temperatures and external groundwork providers being unable to access school site the Academy will open at the slightly later time of 10:00am for all year groups. Children should arrive no later than 10:15am. Year 11 children undertaking BTEC sports exam should attend school at the normal time of 8:25am. Children who access the school bus should continue to do so at the normal time. This will operate as usual and those children arriving at school will be supervised. Teams are onsite now to clear standing sheets of ice from external areas used for safe fire evacuation points. Our children’s safety is paramount and ensuring a safe evaluation of 1000 children if required is priority. The work undertaken today will hopefully eradicate any delayed school start in the future. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused and we thank you for your continued support.

Polling Station (Voting) – Partial Closure

On Thursday 2nd May local elections are taking place and the Academy site has been directed to
be used as a polling station. We have been in discussions with the local authority to find alternative
solutions to prevent the partial closure but have not been able to find a suitable solution. We have,
as a result, taken the difficult decision to undertake a partial closure for Y7, Y8, Y9 only. With the
Academy building remaining open as normal for Y10 and Y11.
