It is no longer a legal duty for schools to provide remote education. The guidance from the government suggests schools maintain capabilities to deliver high quality education in some circumstances “as a short term measure and as a last resort.”
We will provide remote education for students who cannot access school for the following reasons:
- Circumstances that prevent students accessing school on a long term basis for example; due to severe medical conditions or hospitalisation
- Unforeseen school closure during term time due to inclement weather. This may include partial closure due to staff shortages.
This remote education will be in the form of learning resources set on google classroom by subject teachers. Students without online access to these materials will be able to collect paper based work packs from reception should they be required.
Any queries regarding access to these online materials should be submitted to wfa-ithelpdesk@nclt.ac.uk
